Things for you to do:

• Find out about Bord na Móna.
• Take a trip to see the power station in Shannon bridge, before it closes for good.
• Take some photographs.
• Enjoy the peace and quiet in the bog!
  
• Observe the natural world around you in the bog.  

Mr Lohan's Guide to Saving Turf in Gleantaun Bog

It has become a tradition in creagh National School that Mr Lohan brings a group of children, usually in second class, to Gleantán bog at this time every year to teach them about how turf is saved and all about the flora and fauna natural to the peat land habitat. This year Mr Lohan has gone 'Virtual' so we can all join in! Many thanks to Mr Lohan for creating these videos to share with us all!
