Millie on the radio! Millie had a wonderful performance of Galway Bay FM last month. Millie, who is in first class, sang Jingle Bells on the popular morning breakfast show. Millie’s wonderful singing earned her a full box of sweets. The radio presenters commented that Millie could have a future career in radio and we definitely agree! Well done Millie.
We are all prepared and looking forward to welcoming children back to Creagh NS on Thursday the 6th of January. With Covid-19 so prevalent in our community at present, it is more important than ever that we will receive the continued co-operation and support of all our school community in order to remain open successfully.
Please complete the Updated Parental Declaration form prior to your child's return to school.
Please continue to wear a face covering yourself when dropping off/collecting children from school and please avoid gatherings at the school gates.
If your child is displaying any symptoms of Covid-19, they should remain at home. The parents of children who display new symptoms at school will be contacted and it is expected that these children will be collected from school.
Children in 3rd to 6th class are still required to wear a face covering unless they have a medical exemption from doing so. We appreciate your support with this measure. Please contact the principal if you have any concerns.

It will be more necessary than ever to ensure adequate ventilation in classrooms so windows will have to be kept ajar during classtime and opened wide during break times. (windows will need to be open regardless of the presence of Hepa Filters) Please ensure that your child is dressed warmly. We suggest extra layers that can be comfortably worn indoors.
Please notify the school in a timely manner if your child tests positive for Covid-19 after school resumes so that we can notify close contacts as soon as possible. This will enable them to avail of antigen test if required.
Please inform the school in a timely manner if your child is self-isolating either as a close contact or as a confirmed case, so that the class teacher can liaise with you re work/learning.
We are confident that; with the co-operation of the school community; the measures we have in place will allow us to remain open. We appreciate your support. Please do not hesitate to contact the office with any concerns you may have. (Contact details as above)
