The Mo-rathan for Movember!Active Schools FlagThis year, we are working towards getting an Active Schools Flag for our school. The aim of the Active Schools Flag is to encourage schools to be more active, more often. It links in with all of the work we are doing throughout the year on Healthy Living - being active, getting exercise, taking care of our minds and bodies. ACTIVE BREAK EVERY DAY CHALLENGE! On Monday 16th November we started our four week Active Breaks challenge in our school. This means that every class is committed to taking an Active Break Every Day for four weeks. The benefits of this for the pupils are improved concentration in class, improved fitness and improved long term health benefits. Classes are trying out different activity breaks including running, dance and various other activities such as Go Noodle, Yoga, Stretches etc. It promises to be a fantastic four weeks the sight of 400+ children being active during break times was an amazing sight.
