Chicks and Chickens week 2020: Day 3: Candling the Eggs

Every day you will receive a link to the 'chick classroom'. This virtual classroom has a range of interactive activities for you to engage with. Explore the classroom and check out some of these terrific activities:

Candling the Eggs

​Click on the incubator to see what happens to the eggs next.  Adam uses a method called candling to discover which eggs have chicken embryos in them Watch the video and see can you find the answers to the following questions.

• How many of the eggs have chicks in them?
• What did Adam use to 'candle' the eggs?
• What did they discover about the water level?
• How long have the eggs been in the incubator?
